2010 Science & Technology and IPR Work Conference of Dalian Municipal Bureau of Science & Technology

On March 5, the Municipal Bureau of Science & Technology held a conference on the science & technology and IPR work, during which districts and counties concerned reported their past work in 2009 and the work arrangements this year, exchanged innovative ideas and experiences, and commended the model units for excellent administration in 2009. Liu Xiaoying, the director of the bureau was present the conference and made a speech. Relevant leaders of the bureau, responsible people of departments involved, and leaders of the science & technology bureaus under the district and county levels, participated in the conference as well.

Director Li put forward the specific requirements: first, a good environment where the entire society cares about and supports the science & technology work should be fostered; second, a new stage of key breakthroughs and leap-forward development should be entered within three years; third, every means should be tried to complete the work targets of the whole year; fourth, horizons should be broadened and ideas expanded, and work should be done earnestly; fifth, responsibility should be strengthened, and every work should be put into place; sixth, good services should be provided for the grassroots, and formalism and bureaucratism should be eradicated. She stressed that the science & technology work should be introduced to the core creation of IPR and the economic work to the conversion of core creation into productivity. It is imperative to carry out the strategy of independent innovation, set the innovative engine for leap-forward scientific development, and facilitate the contributions of science & technology and IPR for the regional economic growth.
